The MERCI Project invites all parties to its final workshop.
The German-French research project MERCI cordially invites you to its final workshop event, marking the culmination of groundbreaking work in non-cellular 5G (DECT NR+) technology.
DECT NR+ is the non-cellular 5G european wireless technology established on well known dect and filling the gap of non cellular applications such as professional audio, industrial communication (i.e. PROFISAFE) and all other which rely on a ad-hoc network which can be deployed and operated by anyone, anytime, anywhere.
As MERCI draws to a close, we are eager to share our significant outcomes and results with all interested parties.
We have organized this workshop to present our findings on DECT NR+, an innovative European wireless technology. This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the capabilities and potential applications of DECT NR+ through various engaging demonstrations and talks.
During the event the talks will give you insights into:
- The MERCI project: how it came to be and what is it all about
- Keynote from the standarization expert giving you insights into the eco-system
- Future of DECT NR+ and the eco-system after the MERCI project
During the workshop, you can look forward to experiencing:
- The MERCI evaluation board for DECT NR+, based on Nordic Semiconductor Chipset
- Audio transmission over DECT NR+ in an interview setting
- Object audio (MPEG-H) contribution via DECT NR+, including processing and distribution
- An SDR Implementation of DECT NR+, showcasing advanced features of the technology
- Industrial control protocol for Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) over DECT NR+

By Plane: The nearest airport is Hannover-Langenhagen (HAJ) approx. 10km away from Sennheiser headquarter. From the airport either use a taxi or public transport.
Take an S5 train and travel to the next station “Langenhagen-Pferdemarkt”. Change here for an S4 train towards “Bennemühlen” and exit at the second stop “Bissendorf”. From “Bissendorf” railway station to Sennheiser headquarter it is approx. 1200m (10-15min walk).By Train: There are fast ICE train connections to Hannover Main Station from Berlin, Hamburg, Dortmund, Frankfurt(Main) etc. At Hannover Main Station take an S4 regional train with final destination “Bennemühlen” and leave at “Bissendorf” station. The travel time is approx. 20 minutes and the trains are running every 30min until late evening. From “Bissendorf” railway station to Sennheiser headquarter it is approx. 1200m (10-15min walk).
By Car: Hannover region can be reached via motorway A2 (from East and West) and via motorway A7 (from North and South). Use either exit “Langenhagen-Kaltenweide” on the A352 or “Mellendorf” on the A7 and follow the signs to Bissendorf / Mellendorf. Sennheiser headquater is located next to the L383 that is running from Bissendorf to Mellendorf.

Nearest hotel in walking distance is the Hotel “Brunnenhof International” in Bissendorf, approx. 800 metres away from the meeting location (<10min walk).
